...the percentage of convertibles is entirely too high.
It's just about %50..

You are not wrong. Then factor in Targas, Carrera 4's, and base models and it's hard to find one that's just right.

if I was looking at the non Turbo/GT2/3 models then I think service history is more important than which specific model it is (provided it has a proper manual gearbox). Then I would start to look at what options it has, etc..

If only they sounded better, then having a convertible would be worth it.

Especially when you're looking for an E30 Touring.

I've been on again off again looking at late 80s Carreras and way more than half of them that come up for sale are ragtops. I want to own the car so I get to DRIVE it. I don't want it because 'bitches love convertibles.'

I love this meme. It's for all-outrage occasions.

What years was a GT2 not a turbo?

I did not imply that. I meant the regular Carrera models...i.e. not the Turbo, GT2 or GT3.

I'm a bi-lingual illiterate. I can't read or write in two different languages.
Now it makes sense.
