I'm back OPPO! Pulled in next to this Boeing 777. Not sure if that's the non-stop flight aircraft from Beijing to Houston. Also, goodnight OPPO :]

That 777 is huge! I always forget how big they are. I've never been close to one, I usually only see them up in the air or far away on the tarmac. I have been next to a 767 and even that was amazing to see up close.

Oh, and welcome back!

thanks buddy, I'd like to know the times it takes off and lands to do some spotting. I live right next to the airport now. I can probably ride my bicycle to the Lee Rd spotter's sight.

Time and lots of random expensive fee's and forms. Could be worse, I could have been a very helpful Iraqi citizen saving US soldiers.

That's cool, I wish I lived right next to an international airport. If you find out which flight that 777 is you can look it up on Flight Aware and track it among other things.

I'll just be glad for you guys when she finally gets here. Has she ever been to the US? do you think it will be a major culture shock for her?

She has never been here but I do believe it will be. She lives here currently. A neighborhood called Polanco. It makes most cities in the US seem kind of outdated lol :]

Do you have to do a fiance visa, get married again here, and then apply for permanent residency or will immigration accept your marriage?

I hope I'm not being too intrusive, just curious how it all works.

I'm doing an I-130 petition for relative for getting permanent residency "green card". In the process, they have accepted our marriage certificate from Mexico. She would have been here by now if not for recent changes that have us not getting sucked into the National VISA Center mess instead of just through US Citizenship and Immigration Services. We missed the rule change by 2 weeks and now have a 4-6 month extra detour :'( And it's not just time, it's an extremely complicated online process and around another $1,000 in fees.

Process so far:

-Get married in MX

-Apply for I-130 (a TON!!!! of paperwork to USCIS and heavy fees for translations, shipping of paperwork, notaries, and trouble getting official state paperwork.)

-Got approval from USCIS after a long 5 month wait

-Now..... Re submit pretty much everything again but now with the NVC

- A TON of complicated (and i'm pretty good with computers and reading every last detail) online forms, more Fees, more extremly difficult paperwork and official seals and notaries, re submitting already approved forms for NO reason, and an extra 4-6 months waiting for approval with the NVC even though everything has been approved with the USCIS.

-waiting on our re re approvals and our date with the US Embassy in the happiest, most non-violent city on Earth were multiple men, women, and children totally don't get beheaded or mutilated in public on a day to day basis at all.... Juarez MX *

*extreme and unfortunate sarcasm. But on the upside, finally after a 3 year streak as #1, Juarez is now #2 :]

Got busy and had to step away.... Wow, that is ridiculous. I'm sorry you guys have to go through all that extra junk. It will be worth it for you guys in the end but that's a long road to have to travel. Be safe when you go Juarez, too bad you can't do the Embassy interview in one of the resort towns. Thanks for sharing, I'm rooting for you too so this can be all wrapped up and you guys can live happily ever after.

It's all good buddy thanks :] I understand the security. My cousin was a Border Patrol agent security is definitely a priority. We need to protect our country from a very real and violent threat along our southern border. But dang! lol.

I hear that from people all the time... "Why don't those people just come here the legal way?" If they only knew.

I feel for those people honestly trying to do things the right way. Those that don't know english too well or have the newest computers with fast internet to complete the process. They have to do all these truly difficult forms and save up to pay all those dagum fees. ONE mistake (which I have caught myself do on proofreads) and back of line with the whole thing.

Reform is needed with an increase in security on the border. Like a lot. Sharks with laser beams attached to their heads is a easy start lol.
