But I'm likely the only one since I think I'm the only one that likes the look of the new WRX.

I like the STi a lot. But not the WRX.

Nice - "Get out of my way or I will inhale you into my massive turbo."

The new Subi look is growing on me. I like it better on the Legacy/ Outback tho.

I like the WRX, and I think it looks somewhat like the concept. People always complain about how they look for the first year, then Subaru will up the power and all will be right.

So, pretty much the wing is the make-or-break factor?

I
DON'T
KNNOOOOOWWWWW
but it's probably the wing

Those wheels need to be 2" larger diameter to be reasonable on that pig of a body.

The Impreza/WRX/WRX STi is really their best looker right now.

I think it's an internet thing. Everyone I've spoken with who has seen it in person likes the way it looks. I am take it or leave in on the wing, STi or not

I'm just looking forward to the inevitable conversion from the outdated EJ25 to the FA20 in the STi.

It's really good looking in person. I also have liked this since the day I first saw it online.

Actually I love those wheels very much. They're perfect for the car.

I really love the subdued look of the new WRX. It's generic, but the good kind of generic, like the bag cereals that actually taste better than the box stuffs. Body language of an Audi, Mustang eyes, Altima side profile and a Corolla looking nose. Subaru took the best elements of modern autobody language, blended them seamlessly, and created something that looks as comfortable stuck in middle class gridlock as it does off road with a 1.75" lift

Or just a bigger FA for the STi. Do you know what the EsX(?) limited edition is on the new STi?

I don't think the wheel type is wrong, just the diameter. It has the same proportions as the new Fit. Maybe it's actually the size of the wheel wells, but the wheel/tire combination becomes the scapegoat.

THE SMALLER THE BETTER!

From what I could find its just a hopped up tuned STi made by a company in California. http://esxproductions.com/esxprod/2014/1…
Really though I wish Subaru would build a stripped out version of the new WRX with a 1.6l turbo engine so they could qualify for the WRC again. Or bring back one of the older model names like the Leone as like a 3 door hatch back with AWD and a 1.6 turbo, i miss Subaru's WRC days.

A stripped out base Impreza with a 200ish hp 1.6 would be sweet.

the STI does look silly from the rear tho
not really a bad thing tho. I don't think the STI should take it's self too seriously.

It's the wing that looks weird. I like it though.

Seems accurate

well the shape of the current Impreza IMO looks cheap. Like a mid 2000's Hyundia. The waist line is too high, and the truck is too short, and the tail lights are too small for the rest of the car. It does not look tough, or sleek, or slender at all. So adding a F&F wing doesn't help the situation. That said I'd totally drive on, and you bet your ass I'd keep the wing on there.

I think the Impreza looks nice. The trunk is actually really deep. It drives nice and there aren't many blindspots. Also the mirrors are really nice. Especially because they're on the door and not in the window.*
*statements not at all biased by the 2012 Impreza in my driveway.

I like. Now wheres the damn hatch
![]() 10/26/2014 at 22:30 |

Is that yours? If so you're lucky. WR blue on the new car is really good. I wish I could find a 2014 Hatch in WR Blue. As much as I like the new car I like the 2014 hatch more.

Yes, yes you are. I actually saw my first (and only thus far) one in the wild out in Sammamish last month. I mistook it for a Legacy, then I reminded myself, "they probably don't make Blue Legacies..." so I followed it for a hot second and confirmed my suspicion.

But smaller compromises performance
![]() 10/27/2014 at 08:05 |

It literally does the opposite.
The smaller the wheel, the less unsprung weight there is to carry around.

Not mine. Thats mine. '14 black hatch. I love the blue but this is all that was on the lot.

I may be wrong, but don't you also get less road feedback and less grip in corners because theres too much tire in the sidewall?
![]() 10/27/2014 at 11:43 |
|
I don't know about that. But I'd rather have 15s on my car than the current 17s.

I think we need someone with actual motorsports knowledge to settle this haha

That too is a great option.
