Meet Iceland.
It's a generally non-icy island in the North Atlantic.
Unlike many of us the Icelanders won't be turning back their clocks tonight because they never put them forward in the first place.
In other Icelandic news, they have words like það and are the only country outside the American continent and oily areas of the Middle East where you can officially buy a Ford F150 new.

Apart from most of the Middle East, yeah.

You can? Cheap oil will do that for you.
Doesn't explain Iceland (where fuel is a long way from cheap) admittedly.

Countries like Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, Norway etc. and countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc. are the two non-American continent parts of the world where you can buy most American cars.

I've been to all the Nordic countries and you often see large and old American cars but not usually newer ones. Sweden and Finland are in the EU now and won't allow the official sale of non EU compliant vehicles and while Norway isn't a member they still follow EU safety and emissions regulations. Iceland is an exception to this and you frequently see large pickups - I'm guessing they allow US regulations as well. These countries do allow private imports so long as you sort out the lights - I was in Sweden recently and I noticed one or two newish US vehicles there.
The Middle East has cheap oil and a relaxed view of regulations but even there the Hilux is the armed terrorist's vehicle of choice.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a brand new F-series truck in almost all European countries through gray import businesses. That said I think Super Duties are more popular compared to F150 in Europe, at least they are in Finland.

You can import almost anything if you make it meet sufficient local regulations, but you won't be trotting down to your Ford dealer for one.
They're more the kind of thing a footballer or drug dealer would buy, or maybe someone with big car/small male organ syndrome.

It's almost midnight here, and I just finished re-setting the clocks and all my watches back.
We really had only about three weeks of autumn here in Frankfurt this year, and now, we get to settle into five months of miserable, rainy, darkness.
Oh, the joy.
Fuck time change.
