Caterham and Marussia to miss Austin and Brazil
LONDON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - The struggling Caterham and Marussia Formula One teams will both miss next week's U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, the sport's commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone told Reuters on Saturday.
"Neither of those two teams are going to go to America," said the 83-year-old.
Caterham went into administration on Friday while Russian-registered Marussia are also struggling financially and are still reeling from French driver Jules Bianchi's serious accident in Japan three weeks ago.
The air transport for all the teams' cars and freight is organised by Ecclestone's Formula One Management and they were due to be flown out on Saturday.
By missing the race in Austin, the two teams will also be absent from Brazil since the races are back to back with the cars going dir.....

No! That's terrible! I was hoping that Marussia could pull through. It especially sucks since they are (were?) about to collect Bernie Money.

Well Marussia is getting actual prize money this year so sitting these rounds can actually help them.

Who is "them?"
If Caterham scores a single point, they beat out Sauber. If Sauber scores two points, they outscore both Caterham and Marussia. There are four races worth of points left to be scored... (USA, Brazil, and the 2x points in Abu Dhabi )
It would be a shame if Sauber managed to score three points in these next two races.

Really?? I wanted so bad for them to run Rossi at the USGP. Now I have to pick a different team for the weekend...

I understand. I doubt Sauer will score though they have run terribly. I forgot about Abu Dhabi though. Hopefully Marussia's gonna have funds to be at Abu Dhabi.
