Every once in a while, I get bored and peruse Craigslist to see what sort of interesting vehicles are for sale around me. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

The head picture looks as though it may have gotten into a bit of a fender bender, which can be dealt with, and the $1600 asking price warranted further investigation. Upon that further investigation the $1600 asking price became quite apparent, there was a rabid badger living in it (<- reading test).
Not really, 246k miles (that's a fair bit even on a diesel) and the radiator is a bit broken. Okay, perhaps put in a better junkyard radiator and a few days (weeks), many screws left over, and a roll (or 7) of duct tape. However, there is one major flaw in that plan, if you look at the last picture the bumper sub-frame is shoved into the radiator. This not only screws up the radiator, but makes putting a new one in much harder. Of course this whole thing is complicated by the fact that nothing lines up in the front end anymore. Crack Pipe... (In case you needed a sign, it says "No" on the hood.)

If you can get him down to $1000, It could be worth a drivetrain swap. Maybe a Gti?
