My Winter Setup! :)

My dad was kind enough to buy me tires and wheels for the impending winter this past Friday. Check them out! :)

They fit surprising well in the back seat when they're folded down:

They are General Altimax Arctic on 17' Sport Classic wheels.

The same day I got them, I learned how to change my wheels/tires! :)

Disclaimer: This was my first time changing wheels for the first time, don't hate please.

After taking the stock wheels off, you could clearly see how much brake dust I've accumulated since day one of ownership. :(

Not to worry, I'll be cleaning them in my free time as they reside in my basement.

Here's the finished product! :)

Can you fit 16s on the Focus?

I don't think 16s would clear the calipers, or they'd be cutting it rather close. What's wrong with the 17s?

Just that smaller is always better. In terms of looks and practicality. (lightness)

There was a tool for that in the trunk underneath the floor, conveniently enough.

Other than that, I do believe that it's clinically unsafe to torque up your nuts.

I don't know, I think 16s would look weird on a car that had 18s, I also didn't pick these so yeah..Practical maybe, looking good on this...Eh.

Winter tires are going on the stock wheels because to stay in stock class for rallycross, you have to retain the stock wheel diameter.

I bought 16s with summer tires for when it starts getting warmer out.

I didn't get 15s because to stay in stock class for AutoX, you have to be within 1 inch of your stock wheel diameter. So 16s were as small as I could go.

It's still better to use a torque wrench, it's possible to get a nut stuck if they are over torqued. I should get my winter tires soon.
