I played this back in the day, when it was new, and I came to understand the reason why everybody who had it was raving about it was because Macs couldn't play Doom.

Doom has never done it for me, I'm not a fan of horror, but I am a scifi fan and my dad only bought macs growing up. I have only ever completed marathon 2, and I think it holds up (completed it maybe 7 years ago?).
