Would you trade in a 2013 Mustang GT with Leather, fog lights, HIDs Sync, basically everything except navigation and backup camera for a 2012 Boss 302 with cloth Recaros. I'm seriously considering trading in my grabber blue GT for a boss like the on pictured. Both are 6spd by the way.

Yes all the way, even though I prefer the back of the '13. The boss will depreciate less, and think about the weight reduction. Also you get rid of that horror show called sync. The only thing I would miss are hids, but projector kits aren't hard to retrofit.

I agree with all of them. I'm trying to talk myself into not talking myself out of it. It's a bit more expensive, so i'd have to try to keep my payment the same. I love the boss. My kid loves the boss. I just have to convince the boss (wife)to let me get the boss.

I would find a 2013. The stripe package, front and rear ends, and the minor tech upgrade inside is worth the difference in cost. The 2013 MY is and will always be in higher demand. I wouldn't even look at a '12 when I was looking.

1000000000000% like others have said, the boss is a future classic. Cloth Recaro Boss has everything you need in a performance mustang and none of the fluff.

I do like the stripes better on the 13, but I'm okay with the ones on the 12 too. I do also really like the lights on the 12 a lot better, but the front looks a bit meaner on the 12. I have the sync currently and it provides me with some headaches. I almost think i'd rather not mess with it. This is coming from someone with a car stereo installation past. I think i can work out something better in it. In fact the sync head unit is the only thing stock in the stereo in my 13 now.

Someone else mentioned it but I'll reinforce it. Screw. Sync. Seriously, if dealerships have to offer weekend tutorial classes for the buyers because complication prevented sales folk from explaining it, it's a mess. Lights are easily replaceable, and leather is overrated IMO. Besides, those cloth Recaros are amazing; best thing to put your butt on. If I had the money I'd have those Recaros in everything, beater car, kitchen chairs, living room chairs, bedroom, etc (Recaro beds!).
More aggressive cam, better air flow, adj shocks, quad pipes with removable silencing disks...Boss 302 all day, IMHO

However, performance there is no difference between the two years. I found mine at a BMW dealer when I went in to take a look at a new M4. They sold it to a guy who traded in the Boss 302. I had a M4 on order, they've since sold the M4 I ordered as I'm having so much fun in the Boss that I chose to keep instead.

Between the two I would go for the Boss everyday. HIDs won't be missed that much or added afterwards and I think the cloth Recaros will be a little more durable than the leather. Plus taking out the exhaust dump discs will make it sound awesome.

I really love my 13. I do, but it's no boss. All of those items you listed are reasons i love the boss, then I love it even more because it's special. Plus I'd get to move up from the coyote to the roadrunner, and that boss intake just looks so mean under the hood.

Nope, the 2013 Boss with the hockey stripes and the facelift is much better looking and you're not gonna loose HIDs, fogs, Sync, rear LEDs lights etc... Do yourself a favour and wait for a deal on a 13

Absolutely yes. There’s more to a Boss 302 than the Recaro seats. You won’t be disappointed.
