So I replaced my clutch on my 2000 Honda Accord, took a while but now everything is bolted up, managed to hook up the battery backwards and blew the main fuse, possible more, and now that I refilled the transmission I noticed that it's pretty much all leaked out again (I think I loosened some of the bolts while trying to find all the mounting bolts and tightening them seems to have wrecked the seal). Do I need to drop the transmission and redo the gasket now?

Back when my brother bought his first car, my friend's dad said, "The best way for him to keep it on the road is to take his tools away from him."

Be sure to check the nut behind the wheel.

You aren't supposed to fill the transmission! You are only supposed to add a few quarts until it reaches the top mark on the dipstick!!!! It's probably leaking out the vent.

(j/k, hope it's something 'simple' like an axle seal)

Welcome to my world. I know what all the stuff does, you just don't want me to be the one to do it. Well, at least if you ever want it to operate properly, anyway.

Haha I know, just two quarts. It seems like it's forming on the transmission gasket unfortunately.

The actual clutch replacement was pretty simple, getting to that point to was confusing though.

Me. To a complete T.

I know exactly how my car operates and how the engine runs and what every (almost) part does.. But ask me to fix said part beyond changing my oil/brakes/lightbulbs... Well then fuck me.. lol
