So I went on vacation A really long time ago and I'm just now posting pictures of some the interesting cars I saw while I was in Asia. I spent 6 weeks in the Philippines, including one weekend in Singapore. I was gonna post this months ago, but now kinja is finally letting me do it.
RWD, Diesel, Manual Transmission. The Nissan Urvan has the mechanical specifications that many jalops can appreciate. This Van has been nicknamed "the trooper van" by my family because we've taken it to places other people wouldn't dare to drive their van.
I took this on a RoRo (Roll-on Roll-Off car ferry). Because the Philippines is a nation made up of many islands, it's common for road trips to include boarding a RoRo in order to get to the next island.
In Asia in General, people back into parking spaces. Left to right: Nissan Lavina, Toyota FJ40, Ford Everest, Chevy Spark
Apart from this Land Crusier being on a paved road, this could be an advertisement for the Toyota Land Cruiser.
An Authentic Honda Integra Type R, Singapore
A Mercedes Benz Taxi cab in Singapore.
1 of about 10 lamborghini Gallardos parked around Marina bay
Ferrari 612.
Toyota Alphard
Honda Odyssey, Asian Version.
A matte purple Audi A7
A taxi line in the CBD, singapore
Toyota Wish
In Singapore, A chrysler 30o has Right hand drive, A diesel Engine, and is commonly used as an overpriced taxi cab. The mercedes taxi is cheaper than the chrysler taxi.
Bimmer, Benz, or Bentley?
From this angle, an Airbus A320 doesn't look so small parked next to an Airbus A380

What part of the Philippines were you in? I go to Cebu for a month every two years. I love it there. The people are great the beer is cheap and the food(depending on where) is awesome. If you go there again stop at Angel's Burger its essentially a burger and hotdog stand they are everywhere and you'll get 2 cheese burgers for 35pesos they are fucking awesome!
Some of my last trip findings is below if you are interested.

I'm not that far from you actually, I stayed in negros occidental, in a town thats about 30 Km from Bacolod. I go back almost every year. I visited cebu for 4 days while I was in Philippines, but I didn't take any pictures of cars while I was there. I did however take a couple of pictures in Manila, on EDSA and on Ayala ave.

I've been twice and I've never set foot in Manila yet. I tend not to stray too far from Cebu Lapu-Lapu area.
I was looking at maybe getting a house in Negros Occidental one day.
My wife is filipino so we go back to visit and stay at her brothers house so it cost us next to nothing to go there other than the plane tickets.
What's your story for going there? Do you have a sweetheart there or something?
Have car, will drive (now has a motorcycle too)

Great pics! I love experiencing the differ car populations and cultures in other countries. Even two countries that are relatively similar can have such different cars on their roads.

Manila is a great city, and if you had a jetpack it would be perfect!
We have an angels hamburgers about a kilometer from my lola's house.
So I'm half Filipino, and I go back every year or so to visit family. Plus spending 3 weeks or more in the Philippines is a great way to recharge my batteries. I don't have a sweet heart in The Philippines, but that doesn't stop people from trying to find me one.

Probably? Ceres Liner has a really really large fleet of buses. the newer buses are Yutongs, the older buses are Hinos.

Also, I really like these sort of posts, where someone from places like Asia take pictures of cars that are common to them but not to us in the U.S., so thanks for the contribution! (even though it was two months ago...I'm slow...)
