My friend bought the Dodge Neon this afternoon for $1800.
I'm happy for her, but it seems it's throwing codes. The saga might continue <_<'''

Don't worry about it, Denver. Thank you for the offer, but I'm not 100% positive she'd be comfortable with meeting with a friend I haven't met in person yet @_@

I want to bet you it's not. It failed emissions; running and shifting fine, exhaust is normal and basically colorless.

HYou got this, bro. If you cycle the key on-off-on-off-on, the P codes will be displayed in the odometer display. You can copy them down, or and email me at screenname at gmail.com or just Google them.

THANK YOU! Saves her a trip to Autozone/Pep boys. Sent her a youtube video of the procedure.
I hope she gets back to me; she got pretty pissed it didn't pass emissions :/

Don't bother. He leaves a head gasket related comment whenever he sees the word Neon.

But then the ECU will need to run a few drive cycles in order to pass inspection, by the time the cycles are complete the codes will be back.

Dammit I need another Neon in my life. Preferably with a 2.4 stroker in it. NA all the WAY. Oh, and on 15" snowflakes.

I respond to him by making fun of his Escorts. Points to bring up that will set him off: 1) Car's name is another word for prostitute 2) they eat whole engines, not just gaskets 3) He ends up owning them against his will

You know what else uses the same rare 5x100 lug pattern? Most Imprezas. How do you think they'd look on an Impreza?
Awesome is the answer.

I almost wanted a set for my Legacy, but didn't want to hassle with finding 15" tires. I already had a few good sets of 16".

send them to me. I'll reap their woes.
... I've owned sixteen of them...
