Yeah, I did! This looks like a really nice PH10 or PH12? Early 80s, I'd wager... but those center-pull brakes confuse my brain! I assumed they quit doing center-pulls in the 70s... but it has a 1982 to 1985 stripe scheme... Very cool! And his stripes are in the "right" place, unlike my FrogBike (below)

Nice find, Bandit

Any idea what it is worth? I kind of want to ask the owner of the one I found if he is willing to sell (he lives in my dorm),

Not much... there isn't much market for these. These Pugs are like old Saabs. To 99.5% of the population, an old Saab is close to worthless. "Oh look, another old car with an oil leak and a blown-out muffler." But to the Saab fanatics they're like gold! They be like "OMG it's SPG and you don't even know how Kimmi these things are gawd I want!"

If it's in good shape up close, I'd offer like $200 and see what happens. That being said, if you're in school, I'm guessing cash is a little tight at times (I was super poor in college). Parts for these things are real pains in the ass. Nothing is a standard size, so you end up digging around the internet for parts and paying a lot for them. For example: I want a new seat post. It's a retarded diameter that was rare even in the early 80s, so I'm seriously considering MAKING one! And if it still has the original Helicomatic read hub, that's going to take a shit any minute now... and you can't get parts for those, either. I replaced mine with a Shimano, but I had to work to make it fit (old Peugeots have 126mm rear hub spacing, where 130mm was standard). And that's the battle you fight with everything on these!

If you're looking for a stylish old steel bike, try to find an old Fuji. They were great bikes that used good parts and are cheap and easy to keep alive. Same for old Treks. Sometimes you get lucky and stumble across an old Bianchi that someone wants gone, too. All these will be WAY smarter than an old Pug! But if you want an odd-ball project to drive you crazy (that rides like absolute butter and looks classy as hell), then Pug is the way to go!

Wow... $200 is a lot. I think I'm going to leave a not telling him I like it though and to think of me if he wants to sell. I'm currently riding around on a 1980 Huffy Aerowind, the thing is pretty much junk. The only work I've really done to it is replace the tape, new tires and tube, and fix any of the things that had gone wrong from the bike sitting unused for 20 years. The rims are bent from a nasty crash and the rear derailleur is a bit out of whack. (not mine in the top picture)

That's a pretty cool looking Huffy! I had no idea they built road bikes. Are the wheels 27 inch or 700c? That looks like the perfect campus machine. Sturdy, stylish, and not under constant threat of theft.

Yeah, old high-ish-end road bikes are worth a different type of money... I used to have this really nice steel Bianchi (below) that I probably had like $1,200 in. Rode it maybe 5 times and sold it for not enough. Very sad, but not uncommon.

I have no idea what my Peugeot is worth and I'm terrified to think of how much I have into the little guy...

27 x 1 3/8. I wish they were thinner tires. That size tube is really hard to find around where I live.

Yeah, but 27 tires can deal a lot better with little things like gravel and pavement cracks!

Hi, I know this is like two months later but I left a note on the guys frame today in a plastic baggie to text me if he wants to sell it. It's got a carbolite 103 frame so it's one of the lower end models but that's as much as I know. If for some chance he texts back what do you think I should offer him? It's really original but is in a little worse shape than I remember and sitting outside this winter wont help it. I'm guessing something like $50 - $100?

If I somehow got it I would probably strip the fenders, rack, lights, and original reflectors off so they don't get damaged and tbh to make the bike look a bit better.

Yeah, $100 probably wouldn't be out of line. If it's in rough shape I'd be wary of going much higher...

It's not too rough, just some chrome has some pitting and stuff.
