So this video was just shared on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and, I have to admit, I want lights like that in my car. How cool would that be? Naturally I wouldn't want to run them all the time, and I would have to pick a suitable color for the blueness of my car, and also I realize how tacky and horrible they are, but I don't care! Part of me really, really wants them. The same part of me that wants to slam the shit out of my car and have underglow, a.k.a. the part of me that played too much Need For Speed: Underground as a kid.

The video also reminds me of Refn film (the guy who directed Drive, Valhalla Rising, and Only God Forgives. Go watch all of them if you haven't) which has never been, and will never be, a bad thing.

Ok, that was pretty cool, and it did remind me a bit of Drive. Great film, I remember people complaining about how it was totally not like Fast & Furious, and that's exactly why I went to see it, hahaha.... Can't say I liked the movie's soundtrack very much though, as much as people praised it.

I absolutely loved Drive. I think I've seen it upwards of 10 times. It was, in it's own way, extremely refreshing and I was thoroughly impressed that Gosling, who had almost no spoken lines, managed to keep my attention for the entire movie. And with a decent range of emotion too! As far as the soundtrack goes, I don't love it as a stand-alone but I think it worked extremely well in the movie. The soundtrack in Only God Forgives is similar in nature, but I supposed that's to be expected in a Refn movie with the same lead actor. This time Gosling probably has less spoken lines and yet the movie is still captivating. It's weird as hell, but I definitely recommend it for those who aren't squeamish.

This is probably my favorite song. It played on repeat for at least 45 minutes on the tail end of my road trip from Connecticut to Nashville, TN.

As someone who also played too much NFS:U and once put an eBay white-face gauge kit on a '94 Probe and "complemented" it with EL wire on the center console and blue "neon" tubes in the footwells - no, you don't want lights like that. They fuck your nightvision so hard that to describe the scene would be an image too graphic for some viewers.

Most endurance racing cars have this lights so that it's easier for driver changes and it's easier for the drivers to see around the cabin. And for cool on board effect too.

To be honest, the movie's soundtrack just isn't what I'm used to listening to, it's a bit too modern to my tastes, so the reason I didn't like it is probably a matter of personal taste. The movie itself was great though, I've seen it a dozen times as well, between catching it on TV by chance to picking it up at the video store!

That's a good point. It is much more modern and minimalistic than most, but it certainly adds to the overall feel of the film. I kind of like that, though. One of my all-time favorites, Funny Games, has no soundtrack at all unless it was the TV or music that the characters in the movie played on a stereo, and even then it didn't sound like it was added in in editing. You could hear the volume and everything change as the camera went into different rooms. The soundtrack in Only God Forgives is very similar to Drive in that way. The soundtrack is super minimalistic, but I think it works better as a stand-alone than Drive's soundtrack did.

Bronson (with Tom Hardy) is another great one by Refn. A little less "artsy fartsy" (as my step dad semi-lovingly called Drive) and more in your face. Very different than his other films in a lot of ways, but just as good.

I think red with the color of my car would be pretty badass. I'm not gonna lie. Especially now that I'll have silver wheels instead of gold.

And I venture over to Sploid every once and a while, but I wasn't out of the grey until today. You'll probably be seeing more of me over there!
