Went for a fall cruise with some car bros (lots of rice if I'm honest) in Ann Arbor and it was gorgeous.

If you're close at all I'd highly recommend taking an afternoon or morning and going for it. This map really doesn't do justice to how curvy it feels at least. Also not pictured was the 911 Turbo and C7 we came across that decided to hang with us for a hour.

EDIT: Also got my personal worst record mpgs in the Crossfire, 15.3. I'm quite proud of that.

Its a good eight/tenths road. You can go pretty hard, but I wouldn't recommend going all out because there are a few bikers here and there.

Like 60-80 for most of it. Hit 90 like once and some corners are 20mph slow. Also for those who will yell at me "OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN & KEEP IT ON THE TRACK". We did the good sections a few times and the first time through was always slightly faster than the posted limit just to make sure everything was okay.

In the spring I'll join you for a spirited ride through there in the Montego.

I've done that road quite a few times. In fact my wife has family that lives in Hell over that way on Patterson lake (connected to half-moon on the map) so I know the area. Her uncle actually rides that whole loop on his mountain bike. If you end down near barton dam, we can wander off to some breweries for a beer too...

Yupp, as of this month. Internship turned into a job and I didn't want to have almost a hour commute for the foreseeable future. Cant complain and I get back to Detroit often.

Montego is about to go into "hibernation mode" I don't winterize it, but I drop the insurance down to "storage", which means no road coverage. I just get to go out in the garage and let it run for a while and rev it up. Gets me some amounts of enjoyment out of it while it's not allowed out of the garage.

oh, btw, you can hit some breweries without me. Ann Arbor Brewing Company - ABC, great stuff. Go get a Strawberry Blonde, thank me later.

They have a brewpub in A2 and in Ypsi right near depot town.

I believe Blue Tractor in Ann Arbor brews their own beer too, if anything just go there to eat a Carnivore Burger. Also thank me later.

oh nice, was just up that way last weekend for a family thing.

I'm down in Canton. We just had a couple metro-detroit meet ups, but theres always a need for more. I'll be int he daily driver the rest of the year though, too cold for the Montego, it's going into hibernation.

I've been to one basement bar already that brewed their own beer and it was good. Still need to goto ABC though … and most places actually.
