Within 20 minutes drive of Ottawa is Gatineau Park, a huge recreational area in Quebec with mountain bike trails, bike paths, camping spots and scenic lookouts. People come from all over at this time of year to see the trees change colour. Much of the leaves are down at this point, but after a morning inside, I decided to grab my camera and hit the different lookouts along the Gatineau Parkway for a car photo session.
There seem to be a lot of MG owners in Ottawa. What kind is this one? On my drive back I saw it whipping along the road and tried to give a thumbs up but I doubt he saw me.
This is the peak of the road network, the Champlain Lookout. It looks back south into the Ottawa River valley.

This one is an MG MGB. Looks like this one got a euro bumper. the USDM cars had an ugly plastic one instead.

The red one would be your standard MGB roadster. We never officially got MG's saloon models in North America, and sales didn't really take off in large numbers until the 1960s, so most of the ones you'll see today are Bs and Midgets, with a few As mixed in.

It was pretty chilly today, so I commend you for going out. Can't wait for the cool weather to last two weeks until the temperature drops.
Also, sweet car.

The route up to Champlain is pretty fun. The limit is 60 but it's fun because you can just maintain that speed all the way up. I drove over to Lake Meech just to see where the road goes and that was a good run too.

Thanks! The car made its low temperature beep at 4C which I was surprised at, but I didn't really notice until I stepped out for photos. I snapped a few and went back in for the heated seats haha.

That's an MG MGB with an air damn. Good find! We have a few of these at the shop. Tons of fun to drive.

The road to the PM's house at lake meech is AWESOME if there's no traffic. The road is so intense even going 50 km/h through some parts is plenty.
Champlain lookout is one of the coolest spots in the whole city since you are on the edge of the canadian shield and you can see right where the shield ends.

It's fun when there is no traffic. When there's traffic it's miserable.

Two Decembers ago, I decided it was a good time to visit Canada.
I walked across the bridge from Ottawa to Gatineau in -5 degree F weather. It had been snowing and it was windy as fuck. I couldn't feel my face after a few minutes. Fun times lol
