This made it better.

Lemme explain.

I was having a shit day, a fellow manager was pissing me off, and I was supposed to meet a friend in a parking lot after work to exchange money for drugs car parts.

I almost didn't go. But I'm glad I did.

The buddy I went to meet has a 500AWHP 2004 STi, TWO 2.5RS Imprezas (white coupe and silver sedan), a '95 Maxima with 300k on it his mom had and he drives for winter, a '95 Thunderbird Supercoupe in black with a manual and built motor, and THIS. Well, not THIS exactly, but its damn close.

It's a '89 Turbo Coupe, one owner "barn find" with 130k on it. Looks like it has 30k on it. Few dents and dings, a few oil leaks, and a rotted out muffler. THAT'S IT. Everything works, the interior is MINT, and except for some deteriorated rubber and some flaking paint on the black part of the bumper, its CLEAN. Even the EQ on the stock radio works.

He bought it from the original owner who only drove it on nice days so its never seen snow and rarely rain. The guy didn't use it anymore so he put it on CL a couple years ago for $1800. EIGHTEEN HUNDRED. My buddy bought it, put it right in storage, and JUST NOW brought it out After two.. three? years. He changed some fluids, and drove it. It goes and stops pretty well. Needs a tune up, but... shit, even the comfort/firm shocks work.

And didn't tell me he was bringing it out. I pulled into the parking lot to make the deal and saw it. It made my day instantly better.

Too bad it was dark out or I would have snapped a pic for y'all. But its almost as nice as the Googled pic I posted. I'm so jelly.

A dear friend of mine had one of these for a while in high school. This thing was an absolute hoot to get sideways in, which my buddy did every chance he could. Tragically, it had the auto transmission... but man this brought back some memories.

Either his doesnt have a limited slip, or the clutches are worn out. Its a peg legger.
