I went for a caffeine run and stumbled upon a retiree Miata club. They were getting some breakfast after their drive.

In the ownership of much younger people who have the energy to keep fixing a 20 year old car, and likely can't afford anything newer. There was no one here under 50.

I bit disappointing. I figured the retired people would have plenty of time to keep NAs running!

Haha, I think it has less to do with free time and more to do with arthritis, bad backs, and being winded when you go up a few stairs. My father-in-law is a former mechanic, and the last two keep him from doing a some of his own work.

That's about the average age of the Miata club around here. There are a decent amount of NAs in that club, and they're quite active track-wise, too. Granted, I think I'm closer to that age than the age of most on oppo.

This was also in a fairly affluent area, so that probably has some impact on it as well.
