Just saw this on Axis of Oversteer, this is a video of a very horrifically bad track day bro, with some very funny subtitles.

1) I'm actually very impressed with Nissan's TC
2) How does one drive like this and think they're having fun?
3) What the hell is sticking in the vent? Is it the Kebab's wrapper?
4) What a knob.

I was going to say something along the lines of I bet he would crash in any other car. Then I got to the end of the video …. sad. That was truly terrible driving.
Positive note, I like all the food jokes. Because he's fat and should feel bad.

Looks like he's bracing himself, not "resting arm"/"checking kebab". Not sure what all the fuckery with the nav system is, but as for passing in braking/corners... I doubt I would have known any better. I honestly had no idea you weren't supposed to. I mean, if you have a car with superior braking/cornering, wouldn't the corners be where you'd have the biggest advantage?

if he has to take his hands off the steering wheel to brace, maybe he should back his fat ass off a few clicks on the intensity. Mentioning fatness isn't meant as insult here, it's physics.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. My car has zero bolstering and regular 3-point seatbelts + copious amounts of body roll and... I have no issues with sliding. Then again I'm only 130lbs.

Maybe he legit never learned to drive right? Or maybe he just thinks he's really cool.

I'd wager its because he lacks the core and arm strength to keep his fat ass upright during hard cornering. That car has nearly endless grip and TC. He just puts his fat foot down and wedges his elbow into the door, or grabs the e-brake handle.

He's checking his kebab and resting his arm mid corner because he's fat and he'll spill out of the seat if he doesn't.

I bet he enjoyed that kebab.

I've never done a car trackday, but have done tons of them on a bike. The org that I ride with is usually very good about making passing rules clear for each group, as well as reminding everybody that they're not racing. You can't win a track day, but you can definitely lose one.
What are the generally accepted passing rules for cars?

Depends on the organization. Most make it clear you shouldn't be passing mid-corner, and most require you to "point pass" the person who is faster behind you, and not to pass until you've received a point from the driver ahead. That way no one is surprised.

So basically keep an eye on your mirrors, and give somebody on your bumper a wave-by?
Makes sense.
