Looks like he replied to the wrong person. I think he is relaying his positive craigslist experience of selling a car and not trying to sell you a car.

Nope. He meant to reply to the main topic as to best car-related event - i.e. he already sold it, and it was his best car experience of the year. Doesn't look like he meant to reply to *you* at all. Somewhat typical "how i computer" Burner confusion.
