Just leave it in the pan and put a piece of wood down and eat it straight out the pan. Then make some white mushroom sauce to dip toasted bread in it. It's the most manly/amazing meal you can have.

Good refurbish steps can be found here . There really is nothing better than a proper cast iron skillet :)
PROTIP: For the final seasoning in step 4, use bacon grease. Perfect breakfast skillet.

I couldn't live without my cast iron. Lodge Logic stuff is cheap, durable, and cooks as well as anything else I've used.

WORD. I picked up a nice lodge cast iron pan for like 5 bux at a thrift store. I love it! I also found some emeril legasse cast iron grill pan that is dopeness for grilling inside SEAR LINES!!! Also got it at a thrift store. I also have a huge cast iron pizza pan that is amazing for homemade pizza. Let that sucker heat up in the oven and its great. Lastly I have a enameled iron dutch oven which is also amaze for stews and braising. Can you tell I like cast iron!? Don't know why I rambled on but oh wells.
