I had buttered Penne with melted 1000 day gouda, parmesan cheese, pan seared Mahi Mahi cubes, and a side of creamed spinach. I made it myself, the recipe is mine as well. Sooooo good.

Cheese makes everything better, except constipation. And creamed spinach is one of my favorite things!

went fishing. Caught one for dinner. I suck at filleting. Had some crazy chipotle cheese pork burger with pulled pork, avocado and a bagel for a bun that had bacon and cheese on it instead.

I keep kosher and would never eat that, plus I just ate way too much food and even my mouth is watering after reading about your dinner. Sounds delicious

lipton soups are surprisingly good. My dinner in all costed like 20 bucks in ingredients. Plus I have enough leftovers for like 3 days

I refer to it as the pork pile, not very kosher.

A small Dominos pizza and cheesy bread. Missed dinner because I had to go right from crew practice to an exam, and by the time I was done the dining halls had closed :(

That looks like pre-shredded parm. Cheese graters aren't hard to use, and parmigiano reggiano ain't that expensive. Up your game son!

My family ate two tombstones. With cheese. They were delicious, in a mediocre kind of way.
Kinda grainy, though.

When I feel like "treating" myself, I order DELIVERY (!) Chinese food that costs roughly $11, but lasts for three meals. Lipton is a buck fifty and I eat it all NOW!
It does make a shitty-lunch-meat sandwich taste better if you use as a sort-of bohemian au-jeus.
I need a garden... some day...

I hand shredded the gouda. I only have one shredder, I wanted the cheese to melt consistently so I didnt shred the parm myself.

I'm just giving you shit. But I did stop buying pre-shredded cheese after I learned it's coated in potato starch to keep the shreds from sticking to each other.

But think about it, 20/3 is roughly 7. Thats $7 dollars a night for dinner over 3 nights, but I only had to cook for one night. If you cook something good for yourself in a large enough quantity, you end up saving money and eating better

In this instance, the starch actually helped. But ya, for most things not the best thing

Oh - you're certainly correct - but $7 for dinner is an extravagance to me. As I said - my dinner - on budget - is $1.50. If I add a sandwich - it's still less than $4. The percentage is what counts from 4-7, not the three actual dollars, for perspective.
capitalism...
Basically, I gotta get a new day-job - haha.

Rice and beans. It's my own recipe too. It's some rice with beans on top of it.

No, believe it or not Americans don't have cheese on everything. Although, rice and beans is a great platform to get creative with, I should try cheese sometime.
My favorite recipe is as such: Start a large skillet with some oil on it and saute up some diced onions, potatoes and a bit of crushed garlic. Once everything is nice and brown dump in the canned beans, some diced tomatoes, and some shredded/pulled chicken breast. Simmer for a while until the bean juice thickens and serve over rice. I don't think I need to tell you how to make the rice.
I also make a mean tuna casserole.

One baguette. One pepperoni sausage. Take a bite of one and a bite of the other and relish in the fact that you're poor and just did a 11 hour work day!
