I was in New York this weekend and I stopped by this place.

I sent an email in, making sure it was okay if I stopped by and they said not only yes, but made sure I would stop by on a day when it was more likely the garage would be full.

I showed up with my folks and they didn't mind us just wandering around having a look. Helps that I wore my Jalopnik shirt and Lambo hat I'm sure.

You can't be sure of what's going to be there, because members are taking cars out all the time, but they have good taste, and you know it's going to be at least worth stopping by.

I was there when they had the GT40 in AND they had to move a C7 Vette they just finished detailing. When they fired it up, everyone in the room jumped.

My friends I was with kept telling me there was no way they would just let us in. But everyone was super nice. My friend even found a Harley that he fell in love with, it was like a shovelhead or panhead or something. Not part of the official collection, of course.

When I was there, they actually let me touch stuff. It was the first time I had ever shut the door on a 911.
