F1 guys- any ideas what is going on here?

These are screenshots of the start of the belgian f1 race.Notice felipe Massa momentarily braking hard and locking up for no apparent reason? This was waaaaay before the braking zone Btw.The only possible reasons i can think why this happened: 1.Something totally bizarre happened with his brakes.That cant have been it though,something of this magnitude going wrong would rate a mention by the team or the driver afterwards. 2.The other possibility is that he massively overreacted because he thought the ferrari was coming across him.It was the only car moving across that was anywhere remotely near him.It wasnt cutting across wildly at all.It moved across a little ,then stopped(as can be seen from the last pic)

Any thoughts on this?Anybody hear anything? Or do we just chalk it up to another nutcase filipe moment?

Flashback moment to getting hit with a spring to the dome? Most likely car issues, I think he was having brake troubles for a couple races, maybe they were just biting too hard.

It kind of looks like he saw Kimi's car darting towards him and panic braked? That's the best I've got.
