......but I hate the fact that they take up a majority of the top article spots on Oppo. It's time for Jalopnik to stop being so cheap and make him official. All his shit gets on the front page any ways.
And if Steve reads this: Perfect subjects, awesome writing. Keep doing it.

Gee, that's not completely stolen from Steve's article at all.

It's not stolen. It's attributed and Road and Track and Jalopnik have been buddies for some time now.

Hey Guys - your wish has been granted. As of last week, I am writing officially for Car Buyer. I may still do an Oppo piece from time to time (sorry) but Thurs will be the Car Buying piece.
And the Road & Track piece was borrowed with my permission. The piece got a LOT of mileage. Which probably helped a lot in getting me the official gig.
Thanks all!

Can you cross-post the Car Buyer pieces here, or do they just show up automatically?

They go up on Car Buying and Jalopnik will probably repost" do you follow me on twitter? I always post them there (@stevelehto). Did you see the one from last week? It has been read a couple of times . . . http://carbuying.jalopnik.com/why-you-should…

Cool. Well, I always plug my new stuff there (and I think if you follow me on Kinja you will be notified of new pieces as well). Right now I'm set to put one up on THURS every week but I suspect I will do at least one on OPPO on MON or TUES as well, just because I can't sit still for that long.

Forgot to tell the story of the time I was pulled over in your earlier post. Canal Road in DC - 50 MPH limit. Cop pulls me over: "DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST YOU WERE GOING?!!" I said I did not. "81 miles an hour!" I considered, then said: "Officer, this is a Rabbit Diesel. You would have to drop it out of a plane to get it to go 81 miles an hour." He shifted in place, covered his mouth, then cracked up. I got a warning.
Always leave 'em laughing. If you can crack the cop veneer, they'll go easier. I had a Star Trek warp speed joke holstered as well, but I never had to draw.

Speaking of car buying, can you cover dealership arbitration agreements? They basically look like you are signing your rights away. I just bought a new car, and asked the finance guy " why would I sign this?" He didn't have a good answer, and I did not sign it, but I did read it and it looked like it would cover some of the fees where you would have to pay for your own lawyer. Luckily my work has a Legal benefit.
By The Way. Thanks for representing me on my lemon law case back in 98.

I handled a case for you back in the day? Thanks for the note.
Yes, NEVER SIGN A DEALER ARBITRATION AGREEMENT. They are becoming more common in every field and they are now creeping into auto sales (they have been around in the RV field for longer). I am planning on doing a piece on arb agreements - it will probably run in a week or two.

Yes you did. It was one of your underlings actually, but it was certainly your firm. I was at my fathers place listening to the radio out in the garage. You had a talk show at the time and I called in. I was the leadout for the show. Talked for about 30 seconds and got the "Hold on the line, so I can get your information" line while the show went to commercial to transition to the next segment.

Yes, that was my radio show "Lehto's Law" in Flint, right?
And a long time ago. Good to hear from you!
