Got my license today! Wow is it a good feeling to drive alone. Much more relaxing. Looking forward to driving the 'Vette after Mother Nature is done being a bitch.

Have a '58 'Vette.

I thought it felt kinda weird driving alone the first time. No one in the passenger seat telling me to slow down!

It was a little odd, no doubt. I just thought it was relaxing. Like you said, no one in the passenger seat giving orders.

Hooray!

My first drive alone was a very anti-clamatic 10 minute drive to practice at 5 am the morning of my birthday, but I got a nice welcome from my team (the fact that I brought donuts helped) so it was worth it.

It really was relaxing, and still is for me, to drive alone. Nobody nagging you to do things you are already doing! I've had my license since early July so I still remember vividly how great the experience is.

My first drive was a 5min drive to the gym, with my mom following me in her(since replaced) minivan.

But anyways..congrats!!! And you are a lucky jerk. Get to drive a vette right after being licensed....

Congratulations! I've had my license for 6 months (18 months if you count the learner's permit that requires a 25yr old or older supervisor). The best thing about it is the freedom. Just don't taco the 'vette now that you're on your own.

I actually drive better when I'm alone. I traversed hundreds of miles, driving perfectly without any issues. But the moment I have a foreign butt in my car seat (friends, hookers, so on), I mess up instantly and I can feel them cringe lol

Thanks! Yeah, I had my permit for quite a while too. It was nice, but the license is much nicer. The freedom is really nice. Its also really relaxing, judging from the first drive. And, trust me, I won't.

My exact reaction :D Yeah, from what I can tell, I think I'll be the same way. I just seem to be more relaxed while driving alone. I'll have to see how I am with friends, though.
