I just got a new 5S. The camera on that phone is such an amazing improvement over the 4S I had, and the 6 is even better. It's pretty amazing, actually, what these phone cameras are capable of now. Check out the Camera+ app to take even more control of the camera.

I'll try it out, I'm mainly a point and shoot though. I slept through photography in high school thanks to broken ankle from baseball.

Perhaps the most useful thing it allows you to do is adjust the metering for better light balancing. You an have the camera focus on one point but meter another. It's free (I think).
