So I have been having some noise coming from my front brakes, along with some uneven braking recently. I called a newer shop in town to see if they could look at them. They looked them over and told me the rotors need to be turned, and should have been done when new pads were installed.
I installed new pads, but did not mess with the rotors (whoops). So I set up a time last week to have them do the job. Dropped it off in the evening, and picked it up the next day. Brakes now feel awesome, and I have a little more faith in the car. He also gave me a list of other things he noticed was wrong with the car. Hole in the exhaust, which he and I discussed all ready, a substantial oil leak (I am guessing oil sending unit since I had issues with that about 10 years ago) and a loose lower ball joint that should probably be addressed soon.
So I am now down to fixing the exhaust, going back to stock intake, changing plugs/wires, replacing fuel filter, and now find the oil leak and fix the ball joint. I may go back to them to fix the ball joint. I will need to address the leaky power steering at some point as well.
It is getting to the point of where getting a new car would be a better idea than keep throwing money at this.
