Found this locally. A little over 100k, looks clean, and it's a manual for only $4995. Tempting, but I don't know much about them. I love the look of the Vector trim level though, definitely has aged well. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Now onto my personal problem, My boss wants me to work this Sunday morning at 8, the day after my homecoming dance. He also wants me to work the day of my homecoming dance from 9-2. I can handle working the day of homecoming, but the morning after? Nah, no shot. I'm probably gonna call in before I head out with my friends (and date) and say I won't be able to make it Sunday. I already told one of my bosses that I won't be able to make it, but he keeps saying to make it work. I've been doing a great job at work, haven't needed any time off before, and I'm always early, so they should be fine with it.

All my other managers seem to be totally fine with giving me time off, which is driving me crazy. Just schedule someone else, I let you know 10 days in advance and everyone else is cool with it.

Haha, believe it or not I was just gonna say I injured myself dancing.

This is what I originally wrote when I was trying to request time off last week.

Are you familiar with the Chevy Malibu? This is the pretty cousin with the same hereditary issues... Numb and fruitless driving experience.

I know this is the first 9-3 on the epsilon platform, but I've only heard highly of the Saabs driving experience.

Don't lie about why you aren't able to come into work, that's all my advice.

Ive never driven a second gen. The first gen leaves a lot to be desired (ill give you a good deal on a convertible with a 5 speed). I like my 2000 9-5 better. Not a handling beast but it can make commuting fun.

yeah, the second gens were the first on the epsilon platform.

If only that 9-5 were a sedan/wagon. Not a big vert fan, I'd only get to enjoy it for a few months a year.

yeah I've been completely honest so far. They know why I don't want work that day. I'm gonna give the person in charge of scheduling a call tomorrow to see if she can solve this debacle.

The 9-5 is a wagon. My 9-3 is a vert.

2003 Saab 9-3 Vector: No.

Friend had a 9-3 2.0T (which might be the same car, there was some name swapping iirc) and that thing was terrible. Some broke every few months and it was always hard to get parts and the parts were always expensive.

bought it for $4,500 and traded it in this summer, 2 years later, for $2k. The dealer didn't know of all the problems …. it wasn't worth that much.

I'd say just go for it, these things are pretty reliable as long as you make sure it was properly maintained. If you keep it in good condition you'll be golden.
