Some girl cut me off last night, going from a straight lane to the turn lane, signalling and all. Then she wouldn't turn when it was clear. I honked. She honked back. I figured there was something blocking her that I couldn't see, but then after more than enough time, I honked again and she honked back yet again. Finally, the light turned green and.... she went straight into the NEXT turn lane. Even though it goes to the same place and the only reason I wanted to turn at the first one was to avoid waiting for the light. As soon as I noticed that she wasn't turning, I switched from the helpful "you can go now" honk to the "fuck you fuck you fuck you" one, which was, of course, met with her laying on the horn and flipping me off.

Oh, for sure. I don't rage much, but every now and then something like this will happen.

Such is the way of this world; people will bother us. Rise above and all, but yeah, some days are more a struggle than others.

One time I was driving home at night, on the interstate. A minivan in front of me didn't have their lights on, so I flashed my high beams at them as a helpful signal. It was just two quick taps of the stalk; I didn't blind/harass them or anything. They didn't get the hint. I was like whatever, not my problem, and I passed them.

After I slid back into the right lane, they started flashing me . Repeatedly. They never turned their headlights on. You would think they'd get the hint after flashing their brights, like "Oh, I can actually see the road when I turn these things on... maybe that's why this person flashed me.... maybe I should turn on my lights". But, no.

The amount of times this happens to me is mind boggling.

One time I honked at a guy who pulled right out in front of me and gave him the finger (I was in a bad mood okay) He honked and gave me the finger right back.

Excuse you. I didn't make any idiot driving decisions.

Hunt her down and set her car on fire.

Had the exact same thing happen. I was turning out of the neighborhood and quick flashed a guy turning in who had his lights out. He aborted his turn into an illegal U-turn then followed flashing me for a half mile then performed another illegal U-turn from the right lane on a 6 lane road. No low beams were ever turned on.

Some people.

Oh god, yes. There's one road near me that will have a 1/2-mile backup of cars patiently waiting to turn right during rush hour, and of course there are tons of worthless asswipes who try to cut in at the last second. Well, whenever I'm there, I will lay on the horn and flip them off relentlessly if they try that shit in front of me. So far only one person has given up and gone straight. Out of ~50 or so thus far. More than half of them will honk and flip me off back, and it's so tempting to get out of my car and rip off one of their wing mirrors.

People who cut into lines at a turn lane are the bottom the barrel scum if you ask me.

The temptation I had to just rear end the guy was way too high for a sane person. I'm in my van, which I give zero fucks about, that has a solid steel front bumper. Better watch it dude.

I must have been really pissed off that day.

One of the first intersections I go through on the way home from work involves a left onto a one-way street from another one way street (no opposing traffic, you're in the lane next to the left curb when making a left).

I would guess maybe 1/100 people I've come up behind know that it's okay and legal to make a left on red for this particular situation.

I always honk, and I always get some bewildered/irritated response from the driver ahead of me while they wait for the lights to change.

Well that is really the more efficient way for queues to be homologated really, and this comes from someone who waits in the line and lets people in.
