My 335xi rolled over 80,000 kms this morning. I noticed it was about to hit that mark yesterday. I meant to look at it this morning when it did. Got busy, was running late. When I finally noticed this morning, it was at 80017 kms. :(

On the plus side, the mystery leak from the M5 has been resolved. The seller inspected it yesterday and found that it was a seal on the return line for the power steering fluid. All fixed, no more drip.

It's okay. I missed 100,000 km when driving my mum's car. I blame my sister.

Boo! That's a big one. It's funny how little things like that mean something if you're a car guy.

80k kms? Barely broken in! I hit 149k on my E90M yesterday. Go drive it! :)
BTW, really like the M5.

I'm looking into buying a used 335 xdrive, are there any specific things I should look at while trying to find one? quality, reliability issues on certain years?

There's a few. If possible, try to find one that's CPO or that has some kind of warranty left on it. I'm not sure whether you're looking for a manual or automatic, but be aware that finding an xDrive with a stick is much more difficult. It's why I jumped on my car as soon as I found it; my only 3 criteria were a manual, sport package and a color that I liked. Avoid a 2007 if at all possible: these years tend to have more problems with the high pressure fuel pump, injectors and cooling systems. Also, if you're looking, try to find one that has the auxiliary oil cooler: the easiest way to tell is by checking the wheel well in front of the front right tire. If you see grille slots, it has the oil cooler. If you have more questions, let me know. E90post is also a good resource.

Alright, thanks for the knowledge, I'm looking at either a 335 or a wrx. My main priorities are having something fast and with awd for winter. I assume the wrx would be more reliable but the 335 is way better looking and much more luxurious.

Funnily enough, my car before the 335xi was a 2008 WRX. Much cheaper to maintain but I prefer the 335 for the most part. Although the WRX was way better on snow and ice, especially with snow tires. I could drift that bitch for days, no problems and it was super controllable. The 335 handles much better on dry pavement though and the brakes/gearbox/clutch are much nicer.

Ok cool, I will take that into consideration!
