My brothers lancer that he bought is finally at the house, pictures will hopefully come tomorrow. It also appears that either the battery or alternator may be dead/dying, so I'm going have to get a multimeter and test them tomorrow too. I'm really hoping it's just the battery, but most signs point to the alternator...
edit: It appears the alternator/battery is not dead and the car is fine, I think he just had the ignition in the second position (on but not running) and the car was signaling that the battery wasn't charging.(I could be wrong about that but I don't feel like checking right now)
