!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! its own police department. The spark? Some of the town's own officers going around the chief and presenting to the town council the abuses ordered by the chief. The next question is...will they now adjust the speed limits or speed limit signage?

They need to dissolve the whole damn town. No reason to ever stop in waldo. Hated going through that town just because of the absurd police and speed limit traps.

Speed traps like this only confirm the suspicion that the arbitrarily low "speed limits" in the U.S. Have little to do with road safety and more to do with revenue generation.

In central Utah we have one about this bad (approaching Wellington UT) where the speed drops from 65 to 35 over a short distance with the added bonus of being on a downhill. I don't think I've made a trip through there where I haven't seen at least one car pulled-over at the entrance to town.
