I have the same problem. After grinding for a month, bought the Ferrari 250 GTO a couple weeks ago. I feel like I no longer have a reason to play GT6. I want to play a game that's fun.

I have Horizon 2 for Xbox 360. It's......juuuust barely above the "this is disappointing" threshold.
Still no tuning. Not that many new cars. Can't even tell how big your rims are.
But new map. And more offroad.

I considered H2 on 360 at first. I knew and accepted that it would be pretty different to the XB1 version, but nothing prepared me for the reality.
Terrible car list with the same old shoddy models, nearly barren fields with no vegetation, no Willys Jeep. No sale.

The same happened to me. I replayed the Red Bull Standard Championship twice a day for about a week to save up for it.
Then I bought it and realized it's just another GT vacuum slot-car. I sold it after one drive. Same with the 330 P4.

Yeah, its....not the best. Tolerable because i'm playing with a nice wheel, but the map sure is ugly.

The thing about those classic race cars is there's really only one career-mode race series that you can actually run them in. Sure you can do it in lower PP series, but racing a 250 GTO against modern hot hatches just isn't that fun to me. Plus lower races don't pay shit for earning toward other cars.
Problem with GT6 is the races don't pay enough, most of the cars cost too much, and you're strongly encouraged to buy the in-game credits so that you don't have to grind. I refuse to pay again for a game I already bought. Of course on the flip side of that, Forza puts out a ton of DLC for cars that should already be in the game. The video game industry is a bunch of greedy bastards these days.

I agree that devs/publishers are getting pretty shameless but it's ultimately the consumer who demonstrated that they can get away with it.
