A tractor trailer passed me in a work zone (apparently, the posted speed limit wasn’t fast enough) and lost a retread in the process. I managed to drive another 40 miles without it completely falling apart. Isn’t tempered glass great?

Duct tape is the immediate solution, until I can get another piece of glass.

Don't forget to tape the inside as well to keep the interior shard free.

I tried to avoid the paint as much as I could, but I still needed a weather tight seal. It raining here tonight, and I don't have a covered spot to park. The tape shouldn't be on for too long, and it looks like the residue should come off easily enough with the right product should it come to that.
