I believe they are Style 19 wheels. Overall, they aren't bad, but the bead lock doesn't help the look.

That is not a bead lock. These are 2 piece wheels.

Got it. I should know better, but my mind always seems to jump to calling that fake bead lock when I see wheels like that.

I believe the all the other E39s had a 5-spd, but the 540i was a sixer.

You'd be correct according to wiki and all the reading I've done. I'm sure you just forgot but the M5 had a 6 speed as well.
