Just wanted to give you all a heads up since yours is getting released today / tomorrow (or anyone else who is just buying it now). If you get the downloadable version, i !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I started installing mine last night at 5:30 (17:30) and it did not finish installing until 12:30 (00:30). If you can set it to download and install while you're at work; do that.

I still prefer disks. Unfortunatley I was a bit late on the pre-order, so the only way I was getting the Ultimate edition was via download. C'est la vie.

At the rate I'm upgrading (which is to say I have no real plans to do so), this thing will be in the bargain bin by the time I buy it. That doesn't mean I don't want it badly though.

Downloaded it last night, in the hope someone would hit the big, red 'release' button by accident. Ah well, just 7-ish hours to go...

It's okay, I jumped on quick before work and did the intro race and a little bit of driving around, so far totally worth the wait. Although the off-road handling is a bit... un-realistic.

I've played the demo, and yeah, I doubt the average real-world Audi S3 - or, indeed, the average anything - could careen through a vineyard with the same panache. My only issue with the game, based on the demo, is that it's fucking impossible to see anything from the cockpit on some cross-country races.

Yea the first XC race I tried was in cockpit. I was fine until I made it to the front of the pack, then all hell broke loose and I was upside down, sideways, and way off the trail. My other complaint is that there is not much hope for recovery if you get even a bit sideways off pavement (at least in a RWD vehicle). once your ass-end is out, just let off the throttle and let the car slide till its at a lower speed to control and re-accel.
