Because I just happen to have a picture of all four generations on my computer.

First Gen:

Yukon Denali with some Cadillac badges thrown on.

Second Gen:

Different exterior design, similar interior to every other GMT800 SUV.

Third gen:

Different interior and exterior. Still rather cheap feeling (because 2007 GM)

Fourth gen:

Just... dayum.

I'd call that a pretty good advancement.

1st gen doesn't look nearly as old as it is. That in itself is pretty impressive.

The elderly gentleman who lived diagonal from us (may he rest in peace) bought a white one identical to this new and drove it until his death. He kept it in perfect shape, barn doors and all. It looked like it just rolled out of the showroom. Pretty much like any other Caddy-driving old man, but this was an Escalade.

I have spoken enough about the Escalade. Its what keeps me interested in Cadillac, and probably always be.

It's the last little bit of old Cadillac that's hanging around. Big, ostentatious, and vulgar. But oh so desirable and good looking.

Nope, his widow still lives there. I'm 80% sure the car was sold, but it might still be in the garage.
