I told you that a flame suit would be necessary. I would recommend the Alpinestars GP Start. Not too expensive, comfortable and is FIA 8856-2000 approved to handle all of your shitstorm protection needs.

Ouch. I tried to civilly disagree. I'm sure you were sure you weren't gonna get that from everybody.

I read that time article earlier and the writer seems fairly objective.

I'm reminded of the insane feminist ranting about video games not too long ago.

I liked this woman's opinions quite a bit. She actually knows what she's talking about and are not some dumbass looking to rage about things like you've been seeing on the subject.

I only saw one discussion that really turned into a shit storm. But did you really expect anything else? I was actually surprised to see a lot of familiar names in the thread [I live by the old 4chan adage of "lurk moar", so I don't comment a lot, but I visit and read a lot]. I was expecting tons of new names showing up, as is typical with topics of that nature on Gawker blogs.

All that aside, kudos to you for saying how you felt and your opinion on the matter. I wish I could remember the quote someone once told me, but it was something to the effect of: "80% of people feel the same, but the 20% who disagree are the loudest." My point is, a lot of people probably feel the same, but don't voice their agreement for whatever reason [it's not the cool thang to do, they have more important things to do than to worry about than argue with people who just live to white knight every thread and topic possible, etc.]. Just like them, you are entitled to an opinion and to civilly supporting that opinion [opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one blah blah blah]. And I think you did that. Good on you.

I don't think Watson is anywhere near as problematic as Anita Sarkeesian. I feel like part of the reason the Reason writer targeted her is because she is famous and it would draw clicks.

From what I understand Watson was fairly objective herself. I wasn't talking about her really but the other people who have been big news like this lately like Sarkeesian and these weird fat superiority people.

Yeah, I agree with you there. All my poor nerdy AP kids were briefly freaked out by some crazy "Campaign to shut down Steam" that some social justice warrior students were a part of. I reassured them that Gaben is eternal and they got back to their week of many essays.

Next time, may I recommend some Space Shuttle heat tiles? NASA could lend you some.

Yeah, I was hoping I wouldn't get that reaction but I pretty much expected it. Next week I discuss religion.

Thanks I try to stay level headed but I can start raging about anything pretty quickly (like superchargers) and as I'm maturing I'm fighting to keep a level head. You don't win anyone over by shouting at them.

I never understood why people feel a need to put themselves in groups. It just kind of narrows your thinking. #freelance4lyfe

In other news, I am gonna sit back and watch as adult people lose their minds. Dis gonna be good.

Exactly. Even though a lot of the time I vote conservatively I would never feel comfortable calling myself conservative. I'm concerned with the issue not the party.
