Translation of that article:

Ford- We will continue to work on our EcoBoost motor for the LMP2 class.

R&T- This means that they are totally going to bring back the GT.

Ford- We didn't say that.

R&T- You didn't say no, therefore new GT and Half Life 3 confirmed.

I may or may not have inside information from a source about Ford working on a new GT.

Mainly, because I don't feel that Ford will be able to make a modern GT40 again (like they did with the 2005-6 cars) and will have to make a new design. Therefore, if it looks different from the GT40 and current GT, is it still worthy of the GT name?

That's what I took from it.

It will be GT worthy, hell don't make it like a C7 deal.

I don't know. Even if it is an outstanding vehicle (which I have to reason to doubt that it will be), I hope they take a Jaguar F-Type like approach to it. Pay homage to the forbearer and make it clear that it is its successor (in the Jaguar's case that would be the E-Type) but don't use its name.

I fail to see the C7 connection.

Roberston racing was always such a class act.

Don't forget despite their unfairly balanced car the female racer Mrs. Roberston took a 3rd place class win @ the 24 hr lemans! What a badass woman.

Would love to see them come back in some capacity.

Well people were freaking about the new C7 looks, and we already had the car to pay homage. So maybe they will go retro but maybe they will go full blown batshit.

This is the third iteration of the Ford GT.

Today is 1/10/2014.

1 + 1 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 9.

9 divided by 3 is 3.

Half-Life 3 confirmed.

I'm not sure what you mean by class act?

I wasn't following motorsports closely when they were racing.

care to fill me in?

Their cars balance of performance was not great at a certain point and Ford didn't seem to be stepping up to make this a factory effort. As a result the car had some real trouble beating other competitors solely based on the car. They started spending a lot of time in the back, during this time they never fought or lashed out in an attempt off set the cars poor speed. They always knew when they were had, and let other drivers go. Simply put they did great racing and never let the ego's take over. True professionalism extended to everyone.

Thats why they were invited to Le mans. Anyways she was in her late 40's in a car that had trouble with speed in the alms yet claimed a 3rd place class victory in the greatest sporting event in the world (24 hr le mans). Also being their own run and financially supported team, because they clearly love racing and sports cars.

Couple I took long ago
