Cause that is happening. I still think it is the greatest thing ever. I just kind of. . .don't want to own it.

All dreams must die at some point, so that we may focus on the life we are living.

Oh come on now, it isn't like I don't want to drive it. I just don't want to own it.

Damn right. And it's a manual. Probably the reason for the pricetag.

That is super rare. Like one of 6 in the world. Was it possibly owned by Kat of Kats exotics?

I have no fucking idea, the first I've known about it was from eBay, it's like the perfect exotic car. You think exotic car, and this car checks all the boxes. Manual, V12, mid-engined, italian, crazy-looking.

My wife and I have a running joke that we don't own jetskis because we became parents. Every time we see someone on a jetski, we say something to the effect of "they must not have kids."

I want kids, I guess that is a strange thing to say for someone who is in their 20s. But I want them, but I also want the car. I guess I have to give one up for another. I will leave the biggest burnout marks when I am 35!!!

Heard an interesting phrase on NPR this afternoon, may be it was a book title to the effect of "Kids bring joy but no fun." That's hyper-accurate. I'm 30 now, have a 2-year-old who is easily the best thing that's ever happened to me, but oh it has destroyed my fun. I used to drive interesting old fast cars, now I drive a new Maxima:\. I use to watch like 200 sunsets a year on my boat with my wife, we've may be done it 5 times since he was born. I used to kill it at work, I suck now (though I think the kid has meant I've been promoted more than I would have been, strangely). I just spent the past 4 days at home from work with a norovirus that I got taking the kid to Disney....
The wonderful stuff can't really be expressed though fully in text. His smile, that look he gets when he figures something out, how excited he gets when he sees a big truck.... It's crazy, but having zero fun can still be excessively joyful. I certainly recommend it, but yeah, check your dreams of fun at the door.

Hopefully I won't be driving a boring old car. I plan to buy a junker S13 coupe and turning it into a track day monster slowly. Along with a cheap 280z, and if money permits a Audi S2. My current car will also be turned into a track day monster, why? Cause I like race cars!!!
In any case, my parents say the same thing. Well, my mom does. My dad seems upset that my Mom had the kids. . .

The roll of the dad seems to have undergone a major shift in these past few generations. I think more dads of previous generations would have been into it if as much was expected of them in the care of the kid. I've had the same exact old guys in one moment roll their eyes cause I'd be the one to leave the table to change the kid's diaper, but in other moments talk about how they feel like they wish they had been as involved with their own kids as much as they are their grandkids.
If I lived in a time where I got shit for taking care of my kid, I feel like I'd be saying "go fuck yourself" to a lot of people.

Yeah my dad is kind of like that, but he is pretty hard working as well. He isn't doing it for himself so he clearly does car about us. He just doesn't outright show it, which is like a lot of men from India.

If I had the means I would totally buy one, but I don't spend any amount of time seriously thinking about it. I recognize that it's likely beyond any possibility I might have the chance to own one.
Still the fanciful thought that there's that one small chance that it could happens makes life a little bit sweeter.

Used to be the Murcielago, want started to fade after a while though I'd take any chance to drive one that I ever get. Now the only Lambo I want is the Gallardo, Balboni edition. And I'm not gonna find one of those. I've gone through a few other expensive Italian cars too.
