You should have seen the smoke screen I could lay down in my '67 Monte Carlo. Two-stroke, three cylinders, three carbs, and oil injection so you didn't have to worry about mixing the oil in when you filled up nor about oil starvation when engine braking. But one problem it had was that if you didn't drive it hard it would build up carbon in the cylinder heads. So the owner's manual suggested that if it was in light-throttle use you should take it out and open it up every once in a while to burn the carbon off. Of course I was willing; I'd take it up US19 into North Pasco or South Hernando and put it to the metal for a few minutes, and to Hell with the 55MPH speed limit! It was a public service, really; the ensuing epic oil-smoke cloud would wipe out all the mosquitos for three hundred feet either side of the right-of-way.
