Never was quite as good as him at drums. But what are you going to do. He is still amazing! Not just at death metal either! You can also download this album for free legally. Go look up Serpent's Rise. It's not a bad album, just not great.

Those cymbals are pretty sexy, but his technique for striking them makes me flinch.

I think that drummers and drivers have something in common with dexterity, timing, and reflexes.

Hey, its metal. We are destroyers of symbols. I remember I got myself a nice 19" Sabian China, sounded AWESOME . I broke that after a year of use(not entirely my fault. . . my drummer friend also used it a bit and my younger sister had a party and the kids used it and threw it). Got a new one for free so that was a plus!

I would say so as well, but I am a way better driver than I was a drummer. I only played for 3 or 4 years though. Went off to college and slowly stopped playing them. So I decided to get rid of the kit.

Puma Speedcats - Not just for driving fast. . .

Puma Speedcats - For when your double bass needs that extra kick of speed. . .

Was that last part a pun?

I was trying to be clever. . . He's wearing driving shoes in the first video. . .

Also the fat guy in the bottom video got me trying to find videos of Nick Barker showing off his drum work which is turning out to be quite hard to find any decent videos of. The best I have found were of him playing with a Death tribute band. I have to say that Barker is one of my favorite drummers out there.

Well yeah I got that, but you said for that extra KICK of speed, which I thought was for pun purposes.

Also, Death tribute band that is fairly famous? Do they tour the US, cause I want to go see!!! If you liked the fat guy, his name is Eric Moore, and he is damn good. Probably better than Roddy, although Roddy can play just about any genre of music. I am pretty sure I have no idea who my favorite drummer is... Dave Lombardo maybe? Something like that.

I'm not really hip with drumming phrases or technique so count it as an unintentional pun if you want. . .

I'm not sure these guy tour, I think it might have been a one time thing. I do think that the surviving members of death have gotten together and played but I'm not sure on that. If I only would have been old enough to see Death play live. . . I do have to say that Death is one of my favorite bands.

Yup, Death is up there for me. Pretty much they were the reason I got into death metal. Now that is all I listen to along with some thrash and a lot of grindcore . It's amazing how something as simple as Death could have lead to this with McGweedo Still awesome though. Fun fact, they used a grindcore song to reveal the Scion FRS(the one I linked above).

Hahaha wow I had no idea Scion unveiled the FRS with a grindcore song. hahaha that is amazing!

I really haven't explored too much grindcore yet. I ended up getting into black metal and then into the sludgey doom shit. But really I listen to what ever piques my interest. I know eventually I'll start to explore grindcore but I just really am not into thrash.

Yeah, I used to love thrash when I was younger but it has since gotten really boring as I grow older. I would check out Municipal Waste though, they are a ton of fun to listen to. Generally though, as long as it is loud, heavy, and energetic I will love it.

Grindcore is like a really really heavy version of punk, or at least that is how it started out. I really like that cause some times the songs are really damn catchy. You can download this album for free off Earache and it rocks!!
