Last spring I started collecting 1:43 models. The detail to cost ratio and the number I can purchase was most appealing. Plus, in 1:43 there are hundreds of F1 cars from every decade so its a fun way to get a mix of the great vehicles from the hey day of the sport. The issue was how to start displaying them. The little boxes are a bit boring and hard to see thru and I don't have enough to adequately fill a nice display case so I found a way to mount them to my wall. They currently mount to the board then the board gets hung on the wall like a picture frame. I need more ideas to start displaying the others. Does anyone have any innovative ideas to further mount the rest?

I'm up to 8 right now but have been buying these things like crazy. I'll add some other shots later today when I get a chance to take some pics.

I don;t have a different idea to what you're doing atm but - why not continue that board into a full track? Chequered flag out, you could arrange the cars on the track in order of your preference plus ACTION! eg rip up some cotton bud, trail it from one of them whose brakes locked, and is about to get acquainted with a tyre wall! Using a thin paintbrush with thick black paint, cotton fibres can be made to look like a blown tyre, which in hindsight is more likely to cause a crash than brake lock :D

I'd considered just extending the board as I got more but didn't even think about making some of them into action scenes. It'd be cool to have one locking brakes trying to make a pass. Another about to crash as you said. Maybe another in the pit lane getting tires. You sir just gave me a bunch of ideas. Thanks!
