It sill is, sure the boom, of the boomer generation is starting to fade away, cycles of crappy economy come and go, but progress goes on, no matter what. Want to see a dead end perspective? Time travel to medieval Europe during plagues, or to the Americas, during the colonization period.

I appreciate your faith in a better future. But I never was one like "there is always someone who is worse than me", to get some consolation. Sure I have all my limbs and there are lotta people with a missing arm or leg, but this doesn't make me happier. As a middle aged, all limbed and not terminally ill human being, I feel quite confident in stating that this effin' present sucks a lot, and it's not the future I was hoping for when I was staying up all night studying, preparing myself to my future entry into the working society. No sir, I would never have thought that our major Companies, so proud of their "made in Italy" trade marks, would have closed their factories, laid off thousand of workers and moved their production to China. And from this there's no easy coming back. No sir. Our only hope is that there's a God to help us, and to send to a hell of boiling shit all those who moved their money to the Cayman islands.
