Holy shit. That's what I've got to look forward to when I get home tomorrow? I thought moving to Texas meant I didn't need snow tires anymore.

Haha, I don't think it'll stick that long.

I hope you're right. I'm willing to put up with snow OR ridiculously hot summers, not both. I'm sorta shocked by how far south this mess has gotten, I'm down here in friggin Yorktown right now and it's not much better than that and getting worse.

Of course you're not walking down it.

You're tobogganing down!

I was talking to my parents last night about the weather in Houston (my hometown), sounds like people are freaking out over nothing down there. Offices closing for cold weather? Bunch of pansies.

Slip and fall and get it over with.

My first few real winters I knew I would fall, so the first couple days/weeks were always a constant worry of 'when am I going to fall...when am I going to fall' and when I finally did, oh what a relief.

Best one was walking down a sidewalk on a hill, in a huge goose down coat, slipping, then tumbling through the snow. It was hilarious.

Come on. You're a fearless racing driver. Use your advanced knowledge of traction. Tires are the same as feet.

Nope nope nope nope nope. I'll break traction all day long with my tires. Not the case with my feet. I can't even do skating.

Oh, yes. Got out in the wee hours of the morning to take a bunch of awesome pictures from my balcony. Curled back up under a pile of Puffalumps to do a little work. Fell asleep. Woke up. Hopped back onto work 'puter. Didn't have to put real pants on.

This is awesome . Oh, and I am absolutely not entertaining the idea of real pants, much less going ANYWHERE until the roads look completely clear. Because this .

Hahahahahaha, yeah—Austin closed a lot of things because it was going to be cold last night. It wasn't even bad yet and people were leaving work at 3!

It was slippery when I left around 7, but overall, not bad.

Been there, done that—no.

No, no, no.

I like my butt. I don't feel like sitting funny for the next week. Besides, I have an interior staircase, too.

I would agree with you but since it only ices like once every 6 years it sucked driving a large truck with mud/all-terrains on it. I was only going like 20 this morning and the back end stepped out on me.

Sure, but if you didn't want to break traction, you could prevent it, right?

Also…handrails. They're for holding.

Takin' the interior stairway if I have to.
