Convince me... please... I need a car that is more practical for a college kid, knowing I head home a decent amount. I am tired of having to stack my front seat and trunk with junk. The car could be used better by someone else at this point.

That's about as good of a car as a college kid can get, man, it looks extremely clean. In all likelihood he's going to get a ton of calls about the car, so call him immediately if you're considering the car. It's definitely a NP, though if you offer him a quick sale I bet you could knock a few hundred off the top.

It is a bit overpriced (I'd probably pay $3500-3800 at most) since the guy's just sunk a ton of money into repairs, but if this car has been as well-maintained as it sounds, it might be worth it to pay a bit extra. It's definitely worth calling the guy for just for more info, but be sure to ask about the head gasket, the flat-fours of that generation are notorious for head gasket failures.

Oh crap I misread the mileage as 119k instead of 179k, my bad. Realistically, that's a $3000-3300 car regardless of all the work he put into it. I'm sorry, man, I read too quickly. Still maybe worth calling the guy over, again just for more info. Maybe he's gotten tired of it and doesn't mind taking a loss on it.

Chicago? Is he going to NIU? I went there, half the roads are good, the others half suck. If he is going to NIU then I would recommend something a little shorter in length, AWD if possible.

non-smoker, super clean interior, nice exterior colour, nice dark interior colour, manual, tons of recent work, extra set of wheels, no rust, I think the price is right and the car is perfect for your uses. I'd jump on it!

Id agree, I mean i feel pretty confident this guy took care of the car and it looks great but ill probably pay about $3500 for it.
