NSX seats will fit in my prelude.... and this pair is only 850... only 200 more than a set of s2000 seats... But I just cant justify 250 for the shipping. But they look sooo comfy, and bolstery. Anyone here have extra nsx seats?

Kinja'd!!!

And then i remember i just want new wheels... Ive recently fallen in love with these. And this girls car is exactly how i would want mine to look like. But i dont know who makes them...

Kinja'd!!!

I love being able to have these problems.

Only difference is the spoke spacing

I was going to post some smart ass "must be nice" themed image of someone in poverty, but ended up getting depressed during the search.

Those seats are nice.

Dang some of those wheels are pretty wide... I will add them to my daily ebay searches. Thanks again!

One of those up for sale had a shipping charge of 3,000$. The scary part was 13 people are watching the auction.

That's wild, I remember seeing stuff like that all the time, an auction for a laptop or something with a low buy-it-now price and absurdly high shipping costs. I think they do it so the item will show up when you search by price.

As far as the wheels go, I know there are a lot of replicas available, most of which I would never suggest, but those Enkei ones are probably good wheels and are likely cheaper

Kinja'd!!! MountainCommand > VicVinegar

Kinja'd!!!0

haha yeah. But the thing is on ebay, they take like 3-5% of the shipping fee. So he is losing a lot of extra cash haha. (at least thats what they did to me)

And those enkeis now that im comparing them are rather close. I just really dont like that center cap, but im sure thats an easy fix.

Ah interesting, I lose track of how things work on Ebay, its been a few years since I bought anything on there, I tend to stick to Amazon these days.

Yea, I am guessing those center caps just pop right out.

plenty of places to buy those wheels new for similar pricing of enkeis... its buying them cheaper than that is the hard find. i generally look around zilvia forums for some bargain basement wheels...

Ill keep an eye out on there. These seem to be pretty rare craigslist wheels, so forums and ebay are my only options. (besides BNIB)

PERSONALLY, I'd sooner save up for a Recaro/Bride. I'd end up buying em one at a time (because those things ain't cheap), and they do make seats other than the "OMG LOOK IM A RACECARDRIVER!!" type. Sat in some at Formula D last year. They had some comfortable, presumably light weight ones going new for, I wanna say, $600 a pop. Now, yes, $1200 for two seats is a lot of money...

...which is why I'd either try to buy them used, or...you know...eBay brand...

Kinja'd!!! MountainCommand > TwoFortified

Kinja'd!!!0

Well, 600 a pop is nearly what nsx seats are. Thats why 850 for theses two isnt half bad. My only beef is the companies that use to make seat brackets and rails (depending on what you needed) no longer makes them last time i checked. And i have no access to welders so i cant fab my own.

My other beef is id have to see solid reviews, or at least try and sit in one. Make sure its enough to do a 5 hour drive in, you know. I have no qualms about a nice recaro, but id be super particular about it, since it would need to look oem.

Ok, a couple things.

Not to trash on Honda or anything, but $600 for an OEM Honda seat seems a tad-bit insane to me. That very well just be me and my unwarranted biases though.

If you can't get rails for them premade, prefabbed, and for a decent price, than you can expect the "cost per seat" to increase enough that, quite simply, it might not be worth it.

As for Recaros looking OEM...well...that's not usually their game, but they do have a pretty sweet "Sport" section on their site with seats that don't look too wild in my opinion (i.e. no 5-point harness holes, no loud colors. Just black leather with the word "Recaro" at mid-to-upper back level).

Here, in a few minutes of searching (Google: Recaro Sport), I found this seat, which is admittedly a bit more expensive than I originally quoted you, at $766 a pop (and, sadly, these don't appear to come with rails, although surely Recaro makes/has made rails for your car). I imagine with some more intense searching, you could find seats that look/feel as good for cheaper. Either way, good luck with your seat search :)

EDIT: Ok, looks like I can't just link to the pic. Here's the site I found:

"If you can't get rails for them premade, prefabbed, and for a decent price, than you can expect the "cost per seat" to increase enough that, quite simply, it might not be worth it"

Hence why i look at OEM honda.... minimal fabrication required to make a switch. And thats where the price becomes warranted.

OEM honda crap is expensive. I know that. These seats are coming from an NSX mind you. And those cars already cost 20-40K used... So the likelihood of someone parting them out is rare to begin with. Rarity, and quality, come at a price. (not to mention these are power seats, so thats extra haha)

Aftermarket seat brackets can be had used on the forums from time to time, but expect to pay 2-300 for them.

I love everything about that seat except for the way it looks... IMO it looks like a dorky seat. Its hard to describe, but its shape it strange. Love that leather and alcantara/suede mix though.

I should ask, have you sat in a leather optioned top end honda model from the late 90's early 2000's? Some of their real leather stuff is about the most comfortable, nicest feeling ive ever had contact with. Honda wasnt always as cheap as they are today.

Ill take some time and look around recaro and bride's website to see if anything their tickles my fancy. But i these seats are not for racing purpose. I want to enhance that luxury feel of my prelude. Since thats what the prelude has always been marketed as.

Im sure ill find the right seat. Just takes time.
