With Subaru's recent reveal of the all-new STI, it's a fine time to revisit the outgoing model. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! through Ireland and to the Isle of Man for a lap of a lifetime on the legendary TT course with a stock 2013 STI Type UK.
This full episode includes special guest Mark Higgins, the brother of Subaru Rally Team driver David Higgins and current record holder of the IOM TT (fastest car lap).

How can it be that much different?
The drivetrain will be the same, save maybe a slight adjustment to the DCCD settings.
The suspension/chassis is what is going to be changed, and reportedly better.
The looks are a wash between a hunch-back swollen weird-looking car, to a boring, average sedan that looks very nearly like it's competition, what remains of the Mitsu EVO.

Upgrades to the suspension and chassis would be no little improvement.

That is kind of part of my point.
08-14 GR-chassis Impreza-based WRX STI isn't exactly the pinnacle of suspension tuning...
and if that is the major upgrade for the '15 STI... (and about the only major one, maybe otherwise the seats), then looking back at the outgoing car, is looking at it with cherry-blossom colored glasses.
