I feel like he want a bit overboard. Particullarly with the sizes. the biggest wheel you can fit in this car is a 19x9.5 +40mm offset. He went with a 18x10.5 with a -5mm offset. . . hmmmmmm

Who says the biggest wheel you can fit is a 19x9.5? WHEN HELLAFLUSH CALLS, YOU RESPOND. YOU RESPOND BY DISREGARDING OEM SUGGESTIONS.

Do I have a problem with low cars? No. Do I have a problem with cars so low, with so much camber, that they're completely useless in any situation? Yes. This is stupid. They should be shot.

This! I don't hate stanced out cars when they aren't done to a crazy level! Like this:
While it is stanced, it doesn't look ridiculous.

Exactly. And at least the thing's somewhat useful. I mean, not for potholes but it wouldn't be that harsh on a super smooth country road. so like, 10% of the roads it'll ever see, but that's not the point.

The amount of tire just isn't safe. If any of these wheels hit a pothole they will bend sooner than later. Particularly in Indiana right now. Someone was trying to explain how if you mount stretched tires properly they aren't a hazard.

Bullshit. If a tire is stretched to fit much a tall then the fit is wrong and it's vulnerable to damage. Sure some tires will sit with a slight stretch and be ok, but it's still at a higher risk than one sitting on a solid couple inches of rubber.

I kinda wish I still worked in a shop that mounted tires just so I could tell all those idiots who want stretched tires run at 96 psi to go pound sand or buy properly sized tires. Or to not put bull shit "coil overs" on their car so they could run ridiculous camber when most likely they would be better off with a solid piece of steel connecting their A-arms to the car. . . "my car is so low bro it just rides on the bumpstops"
I also love how when you look up stretched tire failures they always point to racers of the 60's running stretched tires. . . what they fail to account for is that those dudes were not running 30-45 series tires and stretching them. . .

Also, stretched tires aren't really a good "performance" mod. They are cosmetic. But meaty tires are so much sexier.

This is just the evolution of ricers from the 90's and early 2000's. Mods made only because they "look cool bro, it's totally grounded to the ground bro!"

Pretty sure the racers of the 60s had an idea of what they were doing with the cars. Plus they were more go than show. . . not the other way around.

Stancing ain't cheap though. It can cost a lot just to make wheels that aren't supposed to fit under the wells of a car, fit.

They did and they are one of the reasons we now have super large tires and super stiff sidewalls. But what I was trying to say is that they were stretching like 60 series tires to try to get the max out of the tire that they could.

Performance? Pssshh, we know that the racers were just doing it for swag points.

I'm guessing most of those kids have grown up jobs now and have extra money to waste.
